Studio- ‘Whats in a Door’

Just recently a friend returned from a year of world travels. In one of our many conversations  of her journeys she commented on how doors and entrance ways had a very  significant place in the structures of buildings. They were often intricately designed or painted to symbolize the  many aspects of culture. This was the kindling I needed to start painting my own studio door.

Butter yellow sponged with acorn orange;colours of honey nectar, fuzzy peaches, calendula flowers to offer  warm invitations.    A vine reaches up with new growth, new possibilities while butterflies flit about in their own joyous dance of celebration.

May all who enter here be embraced by warmth, creative exploration, and joy.
