Building the Studio

The building of this studio began in November of 2011. I contracted out the foundation work, which was challenging to find some-one who was available for the fall. The crew arrived the week-end before our first snow.

In the spring I was thankful that the foundation was complete. The site was ready for framing.

My sister and brother-in law arrived from the interior at the end of March of 2012, having some time before their own business, Moosehaven Resort, was to open. Their practical knowledge, immense hard work, and huge gift of love made it possible to even know how to begin.

The walls were a pleasure to see raised. Community support is both humbling and a lot of fun.

In 10 days we arrived at the truss stage. Everything was working together including the weather, which is something not to take lightly in the north. My family returned back to their home, my heart is eternally grateful, full to overflowing for their immense gift.

My partner David has continued to work tirelessly on the studio, both as an offering of love but also discovering a new found pleasure in developing his skill as a builder.

Spring is in full glory.

Green Blossom Studio has emerged.
